Following on from last year’s critically acclaimed ‘Brainfood’ album, September sees him release his sophomore longplayer ‘Live From The Sofa’. A testament to the respect afforded him by his peers, ‘Live From the Sofa’s guest list reads like a who’s who of the hip hop scene: TB, Dubbledge, Stig Of The Dump, Verb T, Kashmere, Mr Ti2bs, Asaviour, Kyza, Foreign Beggars and Jehst are all present and accounted for, and that’s just on the neck snapping bass of single ‘8 Bars Of Fire’. Developing as both a beatmaker and a songwriter, IQ’s production style continues to grow; taking in elements of jazz, soul, funk and rock and blending them into an old school tinged sound, but with a completely contemporary hip hop feel.
